iPhone 15 Pro Max not charging

Hi, I have recently purchased an IPhone 15 Pro Max and have been using it for the last week. Yesterday I plugged it in to charge using the Apple provided USB-C charging cable and it would not charge.


Fortunately I can still charge using a wireless charger but ideally I’d like to know if anyone else was experiencing this issue?


And if so how did they fix it😕


Iphone was purchased brand new from the Apple Store and I have not dropped it, damaged it at all in the week or so I’ve owned it, very disappointed something so new has stopped working so soon.

My business heavily relies on constant phone communication, so it’s crucial for me to have my phone charged and ready at all times. This morning I encountered a charging issue with my device which was quite exasperating since I am not a tech expert and I don't know why would this happen to such a premium device but a thing known as force restart did the trick for me ( press vol up then down, after this hold side button until apple logo appears ) from this guide iPhone 15 Pro Max not Charging ( Solved in 8 Steps ). Hope if this can fix yours too.

First, thank you so much, your suggestion did help! Bought my phone last October 8, 2023. The same thing happened to me, I thought my charger was broken, but it wasn’t, since it still works when I charge my power bank. I even tried using different USB-C but still did not work. I also talked to the apple support and they just told me to go to the store and get it fixed. Glad I saw your comment and tried it. I was so worried that my charging port will not work anymore. Thank you!

I only have my iPhone for two weeks 15 Pro Max - last night I plugged it in and it didn’t charge. I was going bananas. I checked all my chargers. I checked all my cables I put my watch in and it was charging. I put my iPad in it was charging. Apple fix this problem - I paid a lot of money for this phone. I had a 12 Pro Max and it was perfect.

I went on YouTube to fine the answer to fix my new 15 pro max ….!

i had It for two weeks and now it won’t charge. this has to be a software problem Apple fix it because I don’t wanna keep on doing this.

They should recall it I’m so disgusted 🤮 n disappointed 😔 I think it’s the worst inconvenience n Apple will do nothing to accommodate goin back to my android 🤖 they would never 👎 get over on us this way I’m very upset I hope I don’t lose my job opportunity because of this hot mess for a phone they try to be so fancy n it’s all not worth it any more I can’t lie I want my money back asap

Me too. Phone is 7 months old and randomly started not charging about 10 days ago, have been to the Apple Store (150 mile round trip with a 1 and 4 year old) said it was fixed, charged when I first put it on cable but stopped that night, no alarm for work, have sat on phone with operator since 9:20am it is now 1:15pm carrying out “resets” and as a result I’ve my phone wiped and basically she said they can’t fix it until an update comes。frustrated wouldn’t cover it

I am having the same issue with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. This was bought directly from Apple in the last couple of months it has been in a protective case, never been dropped or damaged whatsoever.


In the last week when I plugged in my certified charger, it would not charge. I thought there was something wrong with the charger so then I plugged the same Charger into my other usb c product (Bluetooth speaker) this charged up with no problem what so ever. The same thing has happened again when I plugged in the charger the phone does not charge, there is nothing wrong with the charger or the power supply anyway its simply the iPhone 15 Pro Max not charging it seems to have a mind of its own in regards to charging the battery health is 100% has always been maintained in the most appropriate way I am very disappointed to say the least this is meant to be a flagship model and I was left without the use of this for many hours due to the charging issue very very disappointed.
