If I understand your problem, it's that cursor is jumping around as you compose. You didn't mention it, but I suspect you may also be having trouble placing the cursor in the middle of text without being forced to erase an adjacent word.

if these are your problems, I think I've found the culprit: predictive text. If I have the feature on, the text generated manifests these problems. If I turn it off before beginning to write, the problem is absent.

This is happening to me too. I’ve just returned my iPhone 15 pro max because of this, I thought it was a fault with the phone and when I reported it to apple they knew nothing of this isssue.

ive now backed up my old phone to use while a replacement phone is arriving and the same thing is happening on it now too. So it was never a problem with the phone at all

Trying it now. I did reset the device and didn't use a backup to make sure there weren't any bugs just in case without success.

I just got the iPhone 15 pro for my birthday last week (UK) and it’s doing the same thing. I’ll be typing a message and suddenly it moves me to another app. It’s happened about ten times so far.

Turning off Reachability will solve this issue. I turned it off back in November after seeing this post and can 100% confirm I have not had the issue since.
