Email headers loading but content missing

MacBook Air M1 running Sonoma 14.0. Some of the emails that come into my Inbox have only their headers. The content is blank. I can see the content on my iPhone and iPad, but not on my MacBook Air. The emails come from people in my Contacts, and seem to be randomly chosen. They'll load from that person one day and not the next. Can someone please help? TIA

You might be interested to know that I asked AI bot Pi what to do about this. It told me to use the "rebuild" function on Mail. On the Mac this is under the Mailbox tab - right down the bottom. I've tried this. Sometimes it works to bring the body of the email into the inbox. I've also tried quitting Mail and re-opening it and this also sometimes works.

I’m having the same problem with my iPhone 15. All of a sudden several months of my old inbox. Emails have disappeared on my iPhone and when new ones come in there’s only the headers in the subject line and when you open the body of the email it’s entirely blank. I seem to be able to send emails without difficulty and all of my inbox. Emails appear accurately on my Outlook desktop but not in my iPhone inbox Hostgator has been unable to help me. Is anyone else having similar problems?
