Exporting HEIC Files

When exporting HEIC files they turn into .jpeg now.

All my previous photo files are .JPG

My OCD demands I have to rename 100's of files.

Is there a way that they can export properly .JPG like all my other thousands of files before HEIC was born.

TIA

Settings : Camera : Formats : Most Compatible. Shots will be in JPG, not HEIC.

Note: If you use Apple's Image Capture on macOS to transfer the images from your Phone, the creation/modification date/time stamp will be the EXIF DateTimeOriginal data, and not the System wall clock time that other types of file transfers will force macOS to apply.
