iPhone 15 Pro Max Screen has marks

Hi! I recently bought my new iPhone 15 Pro Max 512GB White Titanium and noticed 2 kinda "dents" under the screen. Especially noticeable under my desktop light bar. I can not feel it which means that it's under the screen. I decided to go to Apple Store to exchange the phone. So, I got the new one, but it has the exact same issue. I'm wondering if it should be like this or this is a bad batch of whites? Thank you.

Seems like it's not a speculation. This is my 6th iPhone 15 Pro Max at the moment I got yesterday. The first 2 had the same issue. The screen of the 3rd one was perfect without any irregularities under the screen, but bottom speaker was buzzing when listening to the piano songs or any audio from 40Hz. So I got a replacement. The same buzzing in the bottom speaker, only the screen issue returned. I asked to replace it again at the store. The replacement had the same issue. I asked for another one. This time I tried the Natural Titanium color and guess what? It has the same "irregularity" under the screen from the screen connector. The Apple Store employees said that it's normal that these small issue occur and that the regular user would not even notice it, but for me it's important that the product I buy for myself for almost 2k should be perfect. Because Apple = quality, only this time it's not equal. I'm to return it tomorrow and ask for a refund and will order again in 1-2 months. Maybe this is a bad batch.

P.S. This is the 6th iPhone 15 Pro Max Natural Titanium.

I don’t have the same color and don’t see anything like that. When the phone is on do you see any screen defects? You can take it back and have Apple look at it. Also, if you are given another one check it before you leave the store. Not sure if this is a color related defect or what. Haven’t heard anyone mention anything like it with theirs.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. When the phone is on I can see it under the same angle and light, but it does not impact the image or anything. Everything is good, only these 2 circles/stripe are visible in certain light conditions. Can be also noticed if using the flashlight of another phone over the area trying different angles.

I’m not sure but it’s possible. But it would seem like it would be visible on all devices if that were the case. Of course I could just be overlooking it on my phone. Ultimately this is something you will need to address with Apple directly to pinpoint. Anything else will be pure speculation since it doesn’t appear to be a known issue as of now.

I received my 15PM in blue this past Tuesday and I have the exact same indentation in the exact same spot! I only noticed it with direct sunlight pouring into the room, while trying to check for missed dust particles, before I installed a screen protector.

I’m glad you posted this, because I’ve been having trouble even describing the issue to friends, in my debate of whether or not to return it. You also got a much much clearer picture of it than I did.

Sounds like they’ve had no issue replacing them for you. I think I’ll try. Thanks!

Hey there!

I think a lot of people received their PMs with the same issue, but most of them do not notice it and it goes through. I also have noticed it when I was preparing the screen for the screen protector. You can easily go to the store and ask for the replacement if you're within the 14 days frame. I did it 5 times, but after the 4th one they were not happy, because I was pointing to the same issue 5 out of 6 times, tho it's not my problem...

There was a similar discussion here that I opened, where another guy from Slovakia responded mentioning the same problem. By the way, I asked friends who have 15 Pro (not Max), and they don't have this irregularity.

Thanks for your comment here! I like that more and more people start talking about this issue.

Got my iPhone 15 Pro recently and it has a similar dent on the inner screen, but the mark is in a different location, a little below the front camera. I was originally going to get a replacement, but when I saw this post I decided to keep my current one. It seems like this is a common issue and a new one may have the same issue. but fortunately, it doesn't affect display/functionality.
