airplay from iPhone to Apple tv

So I was watching a class on safari, a video on a web page, and I wanted to transfer it onto my tv screen trough Apple TV. Ok, the icon worked but as long as the screen locked up I lost the video on my tv. So the only way was to remove the Lock Screen (from 30 sec to never) and I was able to watch my video. Guys pls is there a different way? Coz it doesn’t seems practical. Is there a trick to do that I can lock my screen and keep watching a video on airplay? Thank you

AirPlay stops showing video after lock iPhone or iPad I’m trying to watch videos on Apple TV. As everyone knows Apple TV does not have a web browser. Place AirPlay'd videos on loop from iPhone to Apple TV Looking for help. I cannot find any existing article or answer for my question. I have a short vid (~1min) that I want to loop continuously on my TV while being AirPlay'd from a iPhone. I don't want to AirPlay from a computer. The only tech I want to use in this scenario is an iPhone + an Apple TV. Thank you!
