Well no one is arguing here and got time to argue with you

coz you are not experiencing it we are

probably you got data in the background running I don’t have it

so let me ask you one thing now someone calls you or send you WhatsApp

do you get them on time or when you unlock the screen and you get them after by saying 10 mins ago

or you never received FaceTime calls or WhatsApp call just coz phone was on sleep mode and iPhone is design this way what rubbish is that I’ve been using iPhone since 2g never ever had this issue it’s started recently and so far with tp link tech support team I’ve figured out some routers are not compatible with iPhone 14 Pro Max and if you turn off private address and change the DNS it works fine even on Lock screen if someone rings it rings not like stay silent

anyways thanks for your input soon I’ll find the fix for it

All iPhones since the beginning of iPhone time in 2007 have turned off Wi-Fi 30 seconds after the screen locks to save energy, unless the phone is plugged in or is actively streaming content. But that isn’t the reason you aren’t getting calls, texts, or notifications. You need to have a cellular network connection to receive notifications and other content when the screen is locked. You actually only need to have a voice connection, not data, because notifications use the voice side channel, and when a notification is received Wi-Fi comes back on to process the notification.

That’s not true

what are you talking about

I have another iPhone and my sister iPhone 12 Pro Max even if it’s locked we get messages calls FaceTimes all works perfect

just on 14 pro max I don’t get anything even when it’s plugged in and locked

there is SIM card inserted but I don’t use data on it

even the working phones we only use data when we are outside the problem is coming in this 14 pro max only

The way you telling me that I should connect charger and it should work even while on charging it doesn’t ring or stay active

and there is cellular connection active even data but I only use data outside the house

we checked on pc using pings it was connected with charger that time as soon we lock the screen it disconnects from WiFi and as soon I unlock I get everything

I’ve done reset settings

I’ve done network reset

I’ve done firmware update

restored to factory setting

and now I’m using as new iPhone but the problem is still coming up

You are not getting the issue mate

its not about WiFi goes on sleep

the issue is mostly which I believe as we use tp link or linksys routers they are not compatible with iPhone 14 Pro Max

as I’ve checked online via pc on pings when I put the ip address of this phone as soon I lock the screen the pings goes timed out

iPhone is not design this ways I have another iPhone it works perfectly fine

it’s something to do with WiFi inside the iPhone specially on iPhone 14 Pro Max

Every one of the 2 billion iPhones in use have always worked this way. It is how they are designed to work, because Wi-Fi uses power as long as it is connected, whether transferring data or not, and if it didn’t work this way it would drain the battery when the phone’s screen was locked. Thus, iPhones ARE designed to work this way.

There are exceptions:

  • If a data transfer is in progress when the screen locks it is allowed to complete before shutting down Wi-Fi.
  • If the Personal Hotspot is in use Wi-Fi stays on, but as a router, not as a means of connecting to the Internet.
  • If a notification is received Wi-Fi turns on for 15 seconds to allow the notified app to save the notification.
  • If the phone is connected to power Wi-Fi stays on.

These are facts. I’m not going to argue facts any longer.
