Windows not able to recognize my iPhone 12.

I've went through a few dozen forums looking for answers to this.


Under the Portable Devices in Windows Device Manager, the device shows up as "MTP USB Device" with an exclamation point. I have tried using Windows update to find the driver with no success. I have also tried going to both the x86 and x64 Apple common files folders, but the "Mobile Device Support" folder is not there, meaning I do not have the drivers downloaded. I have tried reinstalling all of the Apple software I have installed on my computer (iCloud and iTunes, direct from Apple), with no success. Is there anything I'm missing?
