Bluetooth intermittency at shopping mall

Hi all,

I've got an iPhone 15 Pro 256GB (Model No: MTV63ZP/A). I'm noticing the bluetooth turning on/off by itself sporadically when I'm at a specific location (a shopping mall near my house). My gym is in this mall and my AirPods pro disconnect and reconnect. I get notifications from the Tesla app regarding bluetooth disconnections as well.

For context, I had an iPhone XS 256GB before this phone with the same setup and going to the same place and never had this issue. So I'm assuming it's something to do with the phone and/or software.

Here's a link that contains a picture of the location where this issue starts. Note the EV charging stations (I don't know if they cause some unintended BT interference).

I've heard issues with iOS17 and bluetooth in general so hoping it's a software patch that is imminent but any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Thank you for the photo.

Bluetooth Switching Spiritually:

A. Electrical Interference:

Electrical Interference may be causing this. So, though it looks like there is only concrete, these is plant of steel within the girders. Tends to happen to local retail employees using their company's iPhone devices, where this is metal all about.

B. Visit these Links:

C. Reset All Network Settings to Default:

Example of items that will be reset: (Wi-Fi Passwords, VPN Connections, etc)

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Reset
  4. Tap: Reset Network Settings.
  5. Enter: [Your Passcode

"Bluetooth intermittency at shopping mall: Thanks for your suggestion. Just find it surprising that my iPhone XS never had issues but the 15 Pro does. I suppose new hardware so new antenna design and new wireless chips so the EMC behaviour is different. Didn’t think it would be this susceptible to EMI however and frankly a little disappointing given the cost of the phone :(."

Bluetooth Switching Sporadically:

Perhaps this is a Faulty Device?

Get this serviced by Apple. Along with EMI taking being the culprit, I'd say, upfront, that this is a faulty device.. This is a hardware failure. It is time to get this serviced. This is less than one year old. So, note that you have a one-year, out-of-the-box, limited warranty with this. So, contact Apple Support, seeing if you can get the iPhone diagnosed eventually leading to a fix.

I’m also experiencing the same issue on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, also in the same mall (I believe that is Ormiston right?) but happens in other shopping malls as well.

May I ask if you have a Tesla? I have tried a lot of troubleshooting and have found that the issue occurs when the Tesla app is open and is connected to Bluetooth. Disabling Bluetooth access for the Tesla app fixes the Bluetooth disconnection, but that is not ideal since that disables the car key. Issue might be related to the Tesla app or something with iPhone 15 since this issue doesn’t occur on my iPhone 12.

Have you found any solutions to the issue?
