I updated my OS.
I can delete and select multiple images in on my cloud page and on my phone.
I no longer can select multiple image or delete images on my Mac.
If I hit the delete button on my keyboard it just beeps and does nothing.

You may have lost Focus on the Photos library so give this a try:
1 - click on the Finder icon in the Dock (close any window that it opens with ⌘+w).
2 - click on the Photos icon in the Dock.
3 - select a photo and use the Delete key.
