Battery drain

Hello

I have an iPhone 12 mini - 2 years old, which I have noticed since updating to 17.0.3 last week, my battery has depleted within a day.

For example, last night, I went to bed at 12 and woke up to a dead battery. Looking at Settings > Battery, at midnight I had 36% battery, and by 7am my phone was dead and switched off. The battery shows no apps running during this time as I generally kill all apps when I go to bed.

I am not sure if this is a coincidence that is started as I updated to 17, or is there an issue with my battery?

Any advice is welcome, thank you.

After an update, the battery will get extra service as the phone continues to complete the update. That said, your Battery Health is at 85% which is to be expected with an iPhone 12. The typical Apple Battery lasts about 2 years with normal usage. Apple recommends getting a new battery installed when Battery Health reaches 80%, so I think you are about due for a new Battery. Be sure to make an appointment at the nearest Apple Store to have a genuine Apple Battery installed...
