iPod classic 160gb-in iTunes all songs lost

went into iTunes, had over 3000 songs, now iPod says no songs. But says it has 27.5 gb used as other . What is that and how or can I use this iPod in I tunes again?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14

The Other section on an iPod is media that the iPod can no longer read. You might be lucky if you simply Sync the iPod with your iTunes Library (the same library that you used to add music to the iPod originally).


If that fails to resolve the issue, you may need to use iTunes' Restore function, which would delete the content of the iPod and then add back what is in your iTunes Library.
