On my iPhone 13 Pro, os 16.7.2, incoming calls will ring but all other notifications, texts, etc. only vibrate. Volume is set as high as possible, and “silent” switch is not turned on. When I go to sounds/haptics, all of the incoming call choices will ring, but all other tones only vibrate.
Turning off Bluetooth did it! It seems that I was still connected to a Bluetooth device I used earlier today. Lesson learned, and many thanks.

Troubleshooting the iPhone Ringer:
Go Here: If you Hear No Sound or Distorted Sound from your iPhone. Seems, the most obvious solution is enabling the Ring/Silent switch.
