I doubt that. When you look at the screen, even if you don’t touch it, Face ID will unlock your phone. If then someone else touches the phone it will appear that it unlocked by them touching it.

Here’s a simple test. Lock the phone with the Side button, with the phone facing away from you. Then hand it to someone else and ask them to take it to another room and see if they can open it.

If it were an "obvious" bug, Apple would have fixed it. And the forums would have been flooded with posts about it; it is not.

But just because it's not a bug in iOS doesn't mean it's not a real and serious problem for you. If you have done all of the standard troubleshooting steps, the next thing to do is contact Apple for further assistance:

i tried this multiple times with different people and they got in everytime, none of them have face id or my pasword

Did you try it with, say, newly-chosen ten-digit or ten-character passcode?

I am aware of two pairs of unrelated people that are Face ID matches (one pair are also both information security people, amusingly), but that’s very rare.

If it is all set up appropriately and no unexpected alternate Face ID profiles are loaded, and the people are not close relatives of yours, check with Apple.

I wish people would realize that details omitted are details usually not assumed. If it’s not in the text or referenced, it’s likely going to get questions.

I wish people also realized that posting the same question repeatedly — that same sort of posting repetition is very common with the “I’ve been hacked for [years]” threads — is exceedingly unlikely to get a new or different answer.

This is an obvious and serious bug in the code that Apple will eventually fix. Unfortunately, much later than sooner.

Furthermore, the iPhone will NOT unlock by just simply lifting and seeing your face. A swipe up is required.

The swipe up to activate Face ID is how Face ID works on all the local devices.

Raise to Wake can also be optionally enabled on various devices, too.

If Face ID is somehow also allowing all, and if you’ve already (as you put it) “blah, blah”,’d all, then best contact Apple Support.

That’s not cool. The problem I’m having since the new update is SIRI IS TELLING ME I have to unlock the iPhone before she reads the emails!! I’ve never had that problem before.!This is blasphemy. Or just a crockery

Enable access for Siri. Settings > Siri & Search > Allow Siri while locked.

If you have an email profile for an organization installed, Siri access can be blocked by the organization's installed profile.
