Mouse and Keyboard Stop Working with MacBook Air and Dell Docking Station

I have a Dell WD22TB4 docking station and a 2022 M2 MacBook Air. I have two dongles plugged into the USB-A ports for a Logitech MX Ergo mouse and a Microsoft Sculpt keyboard. I also have a Dell display plugged into the DisplayPort port on the docking station; everything with the display seems to be working well.

The problem is that they mouse and keyboard stop working, especially after the computer goes to sleep. Both are on, but the computer won’t recognize any input from this. I was able to previously correct this by unplugging the docking station and then plugging it back in, but that does’t work any more.

Any advice? Much appreciated.

Similar setup but with 2023 16" M2 Pro.

Dell WD22TB4 docking with Logitech MX Keys keyboard connected via USB-A Unifying and Logitech Lift mouse connected via USB-A Bolt.

When wake up from sleep, the keyboard and mouse searching for connection indefinitely.

Hate doing this, but my workaround is to unplug/replug the thunderbolt on the Macbookpro. They regained connections promptly.

Permanent fix to this issue is much appreciated.
