Vertigo from AirPods Pro

i am taking up this thread which was closed due to lack of replies.

i am fairly sure that my use of airpods (mainly the right one) is responsible for a feeling of pressure in my right ear as well as recent spells of positional vertigo.

my gp denies a link, but my tcm practitioner thinks it highly likely. there are some reports on the internet linking vertigo to the use of earbuds (not to the bluetooth connection but rather to noise canceling).

are there any other people who are experiencing symptoms?

iPhone 13 mini, iOS 17

I have experienced the same issue. I love my airpod pros. I use them quite often. But I have noticed that I have been getting dizzy after using them for extended periods. I recently had to visit the doctor and was diagnosed with vertigo. I’m not saying that it is the AirPods, but I have only had them for 6 months and have never been diagnosed with vertigo before. I’m going to cut back on using them and see if that makes any difference.

Apple can deny this all the want but it is a real thing, had the same when bought AirPods Pro 2 recently, used them daily when out walking for an hour a day with ANC on, plus some music listening throughout the day, literally 3 days in and I started bouncing off the walls, could not walk in straight line. Don’t know what made me google this but seeing comments from other people about the same issues, stopped using AirPods and any vertigo cleared within couple of days, just to be sure tried them again a month later during a business trip with couple of hours of use in train, not really a surprise anymore but could barely walk by the evening.

It must be related somehow to AirPods design as not getting any of this issues with other earbuds even when using ANC.

Shame as otherwise it’s a great product.
