Stranger's photo appeared in my photo album

So someone's photo just appeared on my phone???? I'm at home using my private wifi and then a photo appeared on my phone; i opened the photo album and a photo which i didnt take just appeared on my phone.

  • I didn't see an airdrop coming in.
  • airdrop set to contacts only with password required.
  • changed my icloud password straightaway.

Can someone tell me why this happened?

Troubleshooting Network and Device Security:

II.Maybe Change the Network Password and SSID:

Log in to your router and change the password. You might want to condors changing the SSID (name of your network). You'd have to do this on all of your devices.

II.Secure your Accounts:

Being suspicions of this, someone may have your credentials. So, secure your account ASAP, start with a new eMail Address. Consider using a new email address for Apple, and Apple alone.

A. Modifying your Credentials:

If you suspect activity issues, then modify the you credentials. Someone may know your credentials, so using a opening and using new eMail address for your Apple Account seems the best, single route to take of the three provided above.

B. Report a Screenshot to Apple:
