iPhone 15 Pro Max cellular stopped working - eSim problem

My iPhone 15 Pro Max on ATT suddenly stopped making or receiving calls. Icons show "no service". Cellular settings only shows an eSim listed as Primary. Toggling it on or off has no effect. Deleting eSim endlessly loops as "Removing...". Resetting network or cycling phone power resets to same eSim status. ATT phone support was unable to refresh sim. iOS updated to latest 17.1. Before I spend a few hours in an ATT store, any thoughts on something worth trying?

After extensive support via phone and in person at ATT store I took the phone to an Apple Store for further diagnostics. They were unable to fix the issue and because I was outside my return window, they serviced the phone as a warranty repair and replaced the guts. Bummer to have to do on a brand new phone but didn’t have the time to try and fight for a replacement.

Hi,

I'm having the same issue. Been through multiple conversations with AT&T, AT&T, advanced tech-support, Asurion, and the Apple Store. My cellular settings are showing the similar preference to what you stated in regards to the numbers being stated as a primary number.

Have you been able to resolve your issue? Please give me any feedback you're able to provide!

Thanks,
