Unable to grant camera access to apps with iPhone 13

iPhone13

iOS17.1

My banking app is requesting access to my camera, but when I go to settings to turn it on, the camera option isn’t listed.

I’ve tried to access camera setting in all privacy settings & screen time settings. I powered off my phone, tried reinstalling the apps but nothing seems to work.

I have found similar posts on here dating back up to 4 years, with some suggested solutions of which none have been successful in my case.

Please help.

If you have Focus or Screen Time enabled, disable all that, and try again. Focus and Screen Time are wonderful sources of confusion, and are best avoided (read: disabled) when something goes weird. Disable Focus and Screen Time entirely, and see if the app works as expected.

If not… Check with the bank, and ensure that their app supports iOS 17.

They’re going to be the point of contact, as they have the app and its source code.

I’d then expect the bank app developers to either resolve this, or to contact Apple Developer Support to work with Apple to resolve this within their app code or within Apple iOS code.

Nobody here can help with this*, and Apple Support probably won’t get further than what you’ve already done.

*Apple may or may not read posts here, and it’s unlikely that third-party bank app developers are reading and responding here.
