2020 MacBook Air Touch ID button not working...

My MacBook (2020 Air, running Sonoma 14.1) Touch ID button was becoming less functional, increasingly simply not responding and it now has stopped responding completely, despite all support recommendations. How can the button be replaced?

Touch Id not working / disappeared on Macbook m3 pro On wake up the option disappeared completely. In settings all the needed options are enabled. If i try to add a new fingerprint it says that Failed with error: Unable to complete Touch ID enrollment. Power Button / Touch ID Not Working on MacBook Pro 16" 2019 Hello, everyone. I have a 16-inch 2019 MacBook Pro with an Intel Core i9 processor. I'm having a problem with the power button. It started when I couldn't add a new fingerprint to Touch ID—the system kept giving me an error. I thought it was a software glitch. But today, the laptop shut down, and I couldn't turn it back on using the button. I had to open the lid for it to boot up on its own. I think it's a hardware failure. The laptop hasn't been dropped or exposed to any liquid. It only has about 100 battery cycles. What should I do? Has anyone else experienced this? Is this covered by the warranty? Thanks.
