if you call someone you blocked, will they receive the notification?

i accidentally called someone i had blocked over a year ago. however, i was also on facetime with somebody else at the time and the screen said call failed and ended both the blocked call and the facetime. i’m just wondering if the blocked person got notified that i called them.

I was sleeping at those times so it definitely was not me and it's not in my call log on any of my devices. My friend said that those missed calls were in their Notification Center but not in their call log. The calls specifically said "Join Facetime Call" instead of "Missed Facetime Call." I have 2FA set up and I didn't see any notifications about attempted logins. Regardless, I already changed my Apple ID password and logged out of all other devices and browsers. False missed call notifications on iphone 15 pro iOS 17.3 I’ve been getting false missed call notifications since a few days. When I’m checking with the person with a call back, they didn’t really tried to call me. My friend yesterday called me and asked what’s up with my call which I never did. His mobile is iphone 15 pro too. I’m not sure who else is seeing this issue. I was worried after seeing this midnight missed call when I woke up in the midnight to go for restroom.

If you blocked someone from calling you, it has zero effect on you calling them. Perhaps they have also blocked you.
