How to turn off iPad microphone

When I’m typing a text on my iPad it has suddenly started transcribing audio from the television in the background. This is a recent thing. I tried tapping the mic icon on the keyboard to turn it off, but that doesn’t seem to work. Can’t find it in Settings, unless it’s buried a couple layers down. I’m using iOS 16.6.1. Can anyone help?
