Reminders widget not working on IPhone 15 Pro

Since I purchased my new IPhone 15 Pro the reminders widget has not worked, all I get are gray lines in the widget. I have re-started the phone many times, nothing. I also have deleted the app and reinstalled it and I still get the gray lines. Please help!

Try turning off bold text and restarting the iPhone.

Yes, if you see just the lines or cannot change which list is displayed in the Reminders widget and bold text is enabled, turn off bold text and restart the phone. You may need to remove and re-add the Reminders widget. You can add, remove, and modify your Reminders widget, keeping bold text off. When everything is how you want it, turn the bold text back on. The bold text can effectively locks the widget to whatever list is currently displayed and may cause the widget to show lines only until the phone is restarted with the bold text off.

If that doesn't fix the lines issue, you may need to update to the latest OS if you are not already on the latest one. Then, do a full backup of your phone to iCloud (Settings App - iCloud Account at the top with your picture or avatar or whatever - iCloud - iCloud Backup - Back Up Now, and reset all contents and settings (Settings App - General - Transfer or reset iPhone - Erase All Content and Settings). Then, set up your phone as a new one and restore it from that latest iCloud backup. (Yes, it's a pain, but it works because all your app data gets restored, but all your system data is new, and if there are any weird system files causing problems, they're replaced with fresh new ones specific to your current operating system.

Troubleshooting the Reminders Widget:

Please Provide a Screenshot:

Seeing the mentioning of "gray lines", I am eager to see this. IMPORTANT: Block out personal info (i.e. Time and Names), by covering it with red-colored rectangles through use of the Photos app. Go here: Take a Screenshot on iPhone - Apple Support

"I did everything that you requested, unfortunately gray lines are still there. If I tap the widget it takes me to the app as it should….it just does not show properly on the desktop."

Thank you for the followup reply.

Being they work when tapped, this is apparently an issue with the GUI (Graphical User Interface).

So, Report this to Apple...

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: ton when it issue began. and how you have troubleshoot it, thus far. Include the URL of this thread
  4. Proceed from there as necessar

You are welcome.

Thank you for the screenshot.

Troubleshooting Reminders:

A. Disable Screen Time:

Screen Time may be getting in the way here.

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Screen Time
  3. Tap: Turn Off Screen Time(so that it is greyed-out)

B. Disable Reminders in iCloud Settings on your iPhone:

See what happens when you disable Reminders on your device's iCloud Settings. See if these lines go away. And see if you can successfully create them on your own.

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Name
  3. Tap: iCloud
  4. Tap: Photos so it reads "Off"
  5. Does it Still Show?

C. Update all of your Devices:

Make use that all devices are updated to the latest version.

D. New iCloud Sessions:

Log out of iCloud on all of your devices, and then log back in, one-device-at-a-time. Perhaps all of it needs to sync?
