Download Older Versions of Final Cut Trial

I have downloaded the Final Cut Pro Trial from Apple website, tried to install it and it says I need OS 13.4 but the Maximum I can have on this late 2015 Mac book is 12.7. Apple website says minimum requirements for final cut pro are 12.6 (Final Cut Pro for Mac - Technical Specifications - Apple (UK)). Tried to download a trial from the app store but only the paid version is available. I don't mind buying it eventually, but I want to try it first and see if I like it.

So my question is, how can I download the trial version of FCPX that is compatible with my machine?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.7

FCP trial version is created for macOS 13.4 or 13.5 or later. I think the information on the UK site is incorrect.

how can I download the trial version of FCPX that is compatible with my machine?

There is no old trial version, so please update to the appropriate OS and download it.

Ah - strange that they didnt update that yet!

I am unable to update to OS 13.4 because I am on a 2015 Mac (despite the internals being upgraded), so the only options I have are buy FCPX and hope I get on with it, or buy a new Macbook...

You cannot actually buy an older version of the application. Apple only sells the current version. The only way to get an older version is to first buy the current version on a compatible system, and then download an older version on your current system with the Apple ID used for the purchase.
