Issue with my iPad's battery

My iPad 6th gen battery behaves in a very weird way. It can be charged to 100 and then remain at that 100 for twenty minutes then suddenly drop to like 75 and then to 70 in another five minutes and shut down. And once it is plugged it would show like 45 percent. Please what’s the problem and how can it be fixed

As described, your iPad battery may have a fault, or may be reaching the end of its usable life. If the battery has failed or is failing, the iPad may unexpectedly turn-off - or may not successfully boot to a running state even when connected to its Power Adapter.

Having disconnected the Power Adapter from your iPad, if the indicated battery state suddenly or rapidly falls, or if the iPad shuts-off, this is an indication that the iPad battery has a fault or is approaching the end of its life:
