Two years worth of missing emails

Recently downloaded the new software update; After doing so, somehow had a mass deletion of two years worth of emails across 4 email accounts on my phone. Irreplaceable business /career emails, and personal emails gone.

I reached out to Yahoo and Google, to no avail. Was advised to check with Apple to see what can be done as it was more than likely a function/failure of the hardware. Started a chat with support, which directed me to "icloud backup" which DOESNT include email. (At least 3rd party email; Google/Yahoo);

Completely frustrated but can't stop attempting to look for answers/help. Anyone have any ideas? My emails from January 1 2021- October 25th 2023 are ALL GONE

If these accounts are set up as IMAP accounts, all of your emails should still be on the relevant mail servers.

Have you logged in and checked your web mail?

For future reference, in mail settings tap on your accounts and go to Advanced, in Mailbox Behaviours in Deleted Mailbox, select Archive Mailbox instead of Trash

And were the accounts set up as IMAP accounts or POP3?

Considering emails are so important for you I’d consider using a pop account, or just archive deleted email as default for the imap, or try a different email app maybe the one of your provider

I don’t know if your provider can recover deleted emails, did you ask?
