"DocallisecDaemon" will do what now?
I've been having problems with Google Chrome, so I deinstalled it and downloaded and installed it again. I also updated my OS. In the process, I got a few alert messages about files that might damage my computer so I opted to put them in the trash and empty the trash. Chrome still isn't working btw, and now I'm getting an alert pop-up that says "DocallisecDaemon" will damage your computer. (yellow caution sign with exclamation point) It also states the file was downloaded on an unknown date and give me the option to click either and OK button or a Show in Finder Button. Neither button seems to do anything. There's also a check-box (already checked) in the lower left that says Report malware to Apple to protect other users.
What is this, how do I get rid of it, and what might it have to do with the fact that I can't get Google Chrome back on my computer.
It's a MacBook Pro running Monterey 12.7.1.
Thanks for any and all help!
