iPad OS 17.1.1 Update not showing correctly

Try deleting the downloaded (but not yet installed) update package from your iPad - and then perform a forced restart of your iPad.

Settings > General > iPad Storage - scroll down the list of Apps to find the iPadOS update, tap, then delete the update

Once deleted, force-restart your iPad:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
3. Press and hold the top button.
4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

After restart, repeat the update from iPad settings:

Settings > General > Software Update

If you don't wish to update your iPad, then you don't need to download the update.

If instead you do wish to install the update, it must first be downloaded. In manually triggering the download/install - with Download Only selected - you have opportunity to delay installation after the update has downloaded.

If the update package has not yet been download, perform the forced-restart as described - and then manually perform the update from iPad settings.
