Please show us a screenshot of the timeline and settings you are creating. I think it would be quick to give advice for what you are making.
This is a scene that I created an animation using 3D text.
●3D text animation
Maybe there is a simpler way using transformations in FCP but I think you would need to use a 3D camera in Motion to get that effect with the camera pushing through the text and moving in 3D space. Now using 3D cameras in Motion is not a simple process, even if you are familiar with the basics of the app. Some people say that Motion is easy to use but it carries a steep initial learning curve and 3D cameras can be pretty mind boggling. If you are a Motion newbie then you are looking at quite some learning time to be able to do an animation like the one in the linked video. So it's not just a matter of someone showing you how to do an effect like that, even if someone with a good knowledge of Motion had the time to create such a video, unless you already understand the fundamentals of 3D cameras in Motion. Ripple Training have some great tutorials on Motion if you want to learn it.

You could do that in FCP (sorta) but it'd be a hassle. It wouldn't be too hard to do it in Motion. Apparently the next version of FCP has better tracking, though we'll see.
