my apple gift card has 14 digits and doesn't work

I bought an apple gift card today with missing letters.

To see which type of gift card you have check out Apple support's online article (link below):

What type of gift card do I have? - Apple Support

For some gift cards, you might need to peel or gently scratch off the label to see the 16 digit code.

Make sure that you enter the redemption code that begins with "X", not a different number on the card.
