Apple TV+ Windows preview won't let me log in with my Apple TV+ account

I created a separate account for my Apple TV+ account for my several televisions that work fine, I can log in to the website and view content too. However today I installed the Preview application on my windows pc and it won't let me login and sends me to appleid.apple.com with those credentials. I go through the various login and verification steps but it hangs on the last "Continue" button once I do the phone verification. I'm guessing that apparently Apple TV+ created accounts don't look to be in the appleid.apple.com db? Anyone else running in to this? I have a regular Apple login but it's not associated with my Apple TV+ subscription.
