MacBook dock magnification not working

FWIW, when the dock size is set to maximum, magnification no longer works.

yes, you can slide "magnification" all the way to the right. but if you slide "size" all the way to the right, magnification no longer works. at least that is the way it is on my Mac.

I don't think you get what I mean. I keep my dock "size" at about two thirds to the right. and I keep my "magnification" set to the extreme right. magnification works fine that way. but if you slide the dock's size all the way to the right, the dock icons don't get any bigger even with magnification being set to large. so your step 3 above is wrong.

If get the same. If you want to maximize it to 100%, then bring the two to the right.

This worked PERFECTLY! Fixed the problem straight away. Now the sliders in the settings menu work again. Thank you! 🤩

The manual way to do this:

1. Go to: Apple menu
2. Click: Desktop & Dock
3. Drag: Size to the far-right
4. Drag: Magnification to the far-right
