Apple ID linked to Wife’s phone

My wife and I both have an iPhone. I the main account holder and have family sharing set up. Recently we both got new iPhones (I upgraded from 12 Pro to 16 pro and my wife from 12 mini to 15).

After she restored the new phone from her iCloud backup she probably inadvertently signed into my ID when prompted during her install.

When she wanted to listen to her playlist in Apple Music she found out my profile was active on her phone. I attempted to remove her phone from my ID, but then she gets prompted to log in etc.

Is there a way to untangle this mess?

in Settings she is actually signed in as herself. Under subscriptions my Apple ID is listed. I don’t know if this is because I turned on subscription sharing in my family sharing.

I don’t want to randomly disable that sort of thing, as she is also sharing my iCloud+ data plan and don’t want her to lose access to her stuff.

on her old phone I was sharing too, but this wasn’t an issue.

I tried removing her device from my ID on my phone. Then on her phone in Apple Music I tried signing in with her ID, but that didn’t work.

under settings I can then only sign into my ID under subscriptions, there doesn’t seem to be a way to donut differently.

I was thinking that maybe having her sign out of her own ID and then signing in again might fix things, but there I don’t want to mess her phone up either. She uses it for work, and has some specific apps etc.

any thoughts? Very weird. Not bothering us too much at the moment, but I would prefer to untangle our accounts.
