Hardshell case/keyboard cover for Macbook Air M2

I'm a new owner of a Macbook Air M2, and I want to take care of it as best as I can so it lasts as long as it can. I've seen mixed opinions online regarding cases and keyboard covers. Some say it's worth having a hardshell case for extra protection and keeping off fingergrease, but others say it just insulates heat too much or squeezes the display. And regarding keyboard covers, some say it would be good for keeping out dust/dirt but that it makes it less comfortable to type and would need to be taken off before shutting the laptop so it doesn't mess with the screen. So is it recommended by professionals to get either (or both) of these? Or is it unnecessary, or worse—actually bad for the Macbook? Thanks in advance.

MacBook Air, macOS 13.2
