Mac wifi and bluetooth keep turning on after system updates

Hi Apple Community,

I have a Mac Studio (macOS Sonoma 14.1.1) which I am running as a standalone server I remote into.

I've noticed anytime I do a system update on it - the wifi and bluetooth turn themselves on. I have them turned off - and if I reboot - they stay off - but if I do a system update - they enable themselves.

Is there a trick to tell them to stay off? I have the Mac Studio connected to Ethernet and do not want it on Wifi or have bluetooth on.

thanks for any insight!

using the gear Icon below the list of Interfaces in

System preferences > network

choose 'Set service order' and drag the interface you want for Internet connection to the TOP, where it will be used preferentially.

To disable connection to your Wi-Fi network you can either uncheck [√[ auto-join this network

-OR- completely, delete the Network inside

System Preferences > Wi-Fi > (advanced) > Wi-Fi... (list of wi-fi networks) Delete [-]

(This also deletes the password) and do not tell it the password. Then it can not connect.
