iPhone 15 beeps while charging

I have a new IPhone 15 and it keeps randomly beeping while on charge. I’m using the original Apple usb C cable that came with the phone and I’m connected to an Apple brand 35W dual USB C charger. I try to charge my phone overnight but can’t if this keeps happening. Please help me.

I also faced this issue. Shop keeper cheated me. He has given me 35W adaptor for my iPhone15, when I plugged -in, making beeping sound and disconnects and reconnects again for every 10 seconds and too much heating issue. I fought with shop keeper, and took back 20W charger (this is recommended by Apple). After using 20W Apple charger, no heating issue and no charger reconnects issue. Mobile is very cool. My recommendation, don't use more than 20W charger.

My iPhone started doing this too while charging. I am utilizing the charging equipment that came with the phone. It was not always this way.
Not: “poor quality” or “off-brand” charging equipment.

Not: Something the phone “always does.” The normal experience I’ve had with all iPhones is one chime at the time iPhone is connected to charger.
Never continuous chiming.
Also: One chime when iPhone reaches 100% = normal.

You didn’t read the thread, did you? If you had you would know that a properly working iPhone beeps ONCE when the charger is connected. Period. It does NOT beep repeatedly during the charge, and does NOT beep when charging completes.

If your iPhone beeps while charging something is wrong. Or, you are getting notifications from some other app that you subscribe to and you think they are related to charging. Or you are experiencing brief power interruptions which stop charging; when the power comes back it will be a new charging cycle.

Those stating this “chiming throughout the charging process is the new normal,” please provide a link to iPhone user manual where it states that this is so. Thank you!

Please point to a post that said “chiming throughout the charging process is the new normal,”. It is not, new or otherwise.

Strange but it can’t just be your phone if lots of people are having the same “issue”…

When you are one of the people, it can seem like there are "lots" of people having the same problem, but as Lawrence says, that's probably not the case.

Even if the charge is briefly interrupted, the phone can still charge.

What troubleshooting steps have you taken? Have you tried a different outlet? Different cable? Different wireless charger? Different adapter? Have you restarted the phone? Have you checked the port to make sure there's nothing stuck in it? A step after that would be to restore the phone from a back up.

I have an iPhone 12 that began this annoying recharge beeping recently on a charger I bought directly from the online Apple Store. After some experimenting with connectors, etc. I removed the outer layer of my Otterbox case and the charging issue disappeared. My iPhone has been in its case since the moment I bought it and the iPhone charged without incident until recently.

Yes, and it is an issue with the software, not with the charger or the cable.

No, it is an issue with either:

  • Your iPhone
  • Your cable
  • Your USB power source
  • Your power lines

It is happening to you, not to the over 1 billion iPhones in use around the world.

So go out and get a high quality power source, a high quality cable (Apple, Anker, Griffin, etc) and see what happens. To eliminate the power line get a quality backup battery brick (Apple, Anker, Griffin, etc) that doesn’t have to use your house power, or get a UPS to plug your quality power source into.
