Mac mini M2 Pro - No internet connection over Ethernet

Hi all —

Just upgraded from a late 2018 Mac mini to a Mac mini M2 Pro. All of the ports on the back are identical, so I just swapped cables. Used Time Machine and Migration Assistant to set up the new mini (running Sonoma 14.1.1).

I had my old mini connected to the internet via Ethernet, but my new mini won't connect. Network settings says Ethernet is connected, I have an IP address … but no internet. Tried toggling Hardware > Configure from Automatically to Manually. Tried hitting Delete Service and re-adding it. Obviously tried rebooting.

Nothing's changed but the computer. Any ideas?

Are there any settings on your router to filter traffic by MAC address?

Say, to allow packets from the MAC address of your old Mini, and not to allow traffic from unknown MAC addresses, including presumably the MAC address of your new one?
