Apple TV won't let me get Spectrum service on my TV

For access to Spectrum TV content (live/linear channels) through the Apple TV box [A1625 or later], you should use the Spectrum TV app. The Spectrum TV app may share some content with the Apple TV app on the Apple TV box, when configured as ‘connected app’: some content could then show in Up Next, or as recommended, and in Search. The Apple TV box may need to be connected to your own home network with Spectrum internet access, to validate your access to their service: it is specific to 1 address per plan (except mobile apps). Spectrum should support Zero Sign-on, meaning that you do not have to sign in for their service, as the internet connection itself is enough authentication.

Ah. So, you are able to get Spectrum service, but you're having a problem with the Spectrum app on your Apple TV. Now I understand.

The first thing to try with a third-party app is to delete and re-install it. If you're still having trouble, despite what Spectrum told you, it's not something Apple can fix.

If you're still having a problem, it's always good to explain exactly what is going wrong, for example "the app won't launch", "the app freezes". Also, report any error messages you're getting.

Isn't Spectrum a cable company? If so, why do you need to have the Apple TV involved at all?

My Apple TV upstairs just stop working and will not connect to my spectrum cable box. Help!!
