Apple Watch Ultra 2 Optimize Charging

When I first got my AW Ultra 2 it was apparently using Optimize Charging. I saw it had stopped charging at 80 and I disabled it as I wasn’t use to this feature or the battery life on Ultras. Having used it for a month or so and rarely using more then 20 percent each day, I wanted to reactivated Optimize Charging to better utilize battery health. However the watch never stops charging at 80 now and charges to 100 whenever docked. I’ve tried deactivating and reactivating Optimize Charging several times but it still charges to 100 whenever docked. Is this the correct behavior after enabling this feature??

I have the same problem. I barely dip into the battery and, "when new" the watch was doing the 80% charge. But I tend to take the watch off and put it on the charging stand when I shower or sleep and ... this made Apple think I _wanted_ the watch to go to 100% (to be clear ... this is absolutely NOT what i want and had I know this would have been the result I never would have put the watch back on the charging stand when not wearing it.)

So NOW the watch always wants to charge to 100%. At the end of the day it is still above 80%. So I decided to force it to dip lower than 80% by wearing it for 2 days. It STILL wants to charge to 100%.

I want a way to FORCE LIMIT the charge to 80%.
