Child’s iPad says storage is full, he is on family plan

My son shares iPad storage with my husband. Together they have 2TB. There is plenty of storage. When I go to my son’s Apple ID section, it shows he is on the family plan and has plenty of storage. However we are getting a storage is full notification telling us to manage his storage and add more. We are not being allowed to check his email or do anything until we update the storage. We don’t know what to do.

Ipad storage can not be increased.

Icloud storage has nothing to do with the amount of storage on the ipad.

You will have to delete apps, movies, etc to clear space on the ipad.
