since I updated both my macbook pro and my iPhone SE2 yesterday to Sonoma 14.1.1 and iOS 17.1.1

I was not able to drop selected photos from my phone to my mac, as I used to.

Turns out that it is obviously 'just' a lot slower than before....

Sending a file from my mac to my Phone worked fine.

On my Phone, my Mac is visible as an Airdrop target, but obviously does not receive the send command.

My iPhone just state 'Waiting'.

On my mac, nothing happens.

I tried toggling Airdrop, Wifi, Bluetooth, disabling my hotspot, and restarting, but nothing seems to resolve the issue.

One time, after disabling WiFi on my iPhone, I got one step further:

On my phone the message 'Preparing' showed for a short time, including the status circle.

But still, no message on my MacBook.

Both devices are in the same WiFi network, logged in with the same apple ID.

But somewhere along the line, something changed:

I discovered that there seems to be an issue with the number of photos selected:

A single file now worked in both directions

So I tried increasing the number of selected files, and up to 20 files, I got an action of both ends soon enough.

By now, I increased the number to 60 and it still works...

I used to be able to transfer 200 Photos or more in one pass, so I was not expecting this.

Maybe sending the single file from my mac to my iPhone and reverse 'fixed' whatever communication issues both were having, I'll never know.

Right now, it seems to be working again...

Still missing the 'Preparing' message on the iPhone though.

There is 'waiting', than the usual 'bing' on my mac and the sending starts..
