Remote quicktime player controls

Is it possible to control Quicktime Player 10.5 remotely, with an iPhone or other input device ? We had a presenter using the keyboard controls to play, pause and rewind his presentation last night, but he had to keep standing by the laptop/projector, which was annoying for people who couldn't see the screen behind him. I can do similar with keynote and my iphone.
