Instagram app loading but not working on iPhone

Hi there,

a couple of weeks ago, the instagram app stopped working on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. When I try to open it, there is a constant circle spinning. I have followed all the troubleshooting steps through the insta app on my iPad, reported the problem 10+times, went to the Apple Store to see whether there could a problem with my phone, spoke to apple customer support and also reset the phone completely. Still no luck! I don't know what else to do. Instagram customer support for businesses is completely useless and I'm now getting impatience. Would you be able to help me with this?

Thank you,

Beatrice

Hey! I was having this exact same issue yesterday with my new iPhone. Tried every single troubleshooting option and finally got there by completely removing the FACEBOOK app from my phone, then re-opened instagram and it worked. Highly recommend you have your passwords for both noted down somewhere as I didn’t know mine and that caused a few issues trying to log back in. Once I was back on instagram I downloaded the Facebook app to my phone again and all works fine. Good luck.

I had tried all of the suggestions about deleting and reinstalling, clearing cache, deleting Facebook, restarting phone, resetting network settings and nothing was working. I contacted Apple support who initially went through all the things mentioned, but they got me to delete Facebook, Messenger, and instagram. Then re installed instagram and IT WORKED!. I then reinstalled Facebook and messenger and everything is working perfectly now. I asked why/how this can fix it as it makes no sense to me but they simply responded that it must be a glitch. Anyway, thank you apple support, and good luck everyone!

Hey, I was able to solve the issue, yes. I tried every single troubleshooting step and still didn't help but then someone here suggested to remove the Facebook app on the iPhone as sometimes it just causes problems like this and it worked!
Try doing that if you haven't done it yet and let me know if you have any luck.

It sounds like a great suggestion for someone who is having that problem. However, as I noted above, I do not.

I finally found a solution to this ongoing issue. I deleted the Instagram app then installed the newest iOs update and it worked. Not sure if this helped the situation or not - but I also logged in to my Insta account via the computer first and set the security to 2 step verification. So after the update, the Instagram app went through verification and now I'm logged in finally.

Remove facebook app, remove instagram app. Then instal instagram.

login to your account, but don’t use Facebook option. It will make problem again.

if you don’t know you login and pass, just tap forgot password, then put you instagram nickname and use login option from email.

this must help.

if don’t also try to remove messenger.

after successful login install again Facebook .

good luck

okay, literally right after I posted this it worked. SMH 🤦🏽‍♂️ so yeah, I tried all this **** so I don’t know what actually worked. BUT the last thing I did was hold down the app icon until the option popped up. Clicked sign in and I did. Then I was in but nothing was loading. So I deleted and redownloaded AGAIN Theeeeen it worked. Soooo yeah, do with that what you will. Hope it helps.

I tried the following steps and it worked like a charm for me

  • Install Facebook from App Store
  • Open Facebook and Login
  • Install Instagram from App Store
  • Open Instagram, as soon as you open Instagram it starts loading without the error page
  • Within a few seconds you'll be logged in to Instagram.

Now, if you wish to delete the Facebook app you can do so. Hope this helps.

So much for everyone’s suggestions. I was facing the same problem and one solution worked, but it was exactly the opposite. I never had the Facebook app installed on my phone. And I started facing an error issue while logging into my Instagram app on my iPhone SE first generation. I was able to login to my browser but not on the app. So I did the exact opposite. I installed the Facebook application and I was able to log in to my accounts.

Hey. I tried every single trouble shooting step and also got in touch with the support center but nothing worked until I deleted the fb app, waited a couple of minutes and tried logging into insta once again. I did not install the fb app straight away, don’t know if that has anything to do with it tbh. Try deleting the fb app again and then try logging into insta. If it doesn’t work, I’d try deleting all Facebook data and cache and see it that makes a difference. Other than this, I wouldn’t know what to suggest at this point.

Keep me updated!
