How can I switch from Face ID back to fingerprint?

I am struggling with FACE ID on my iPhone 15 Plus. Now my other apps are automatically asking that I sign in to their account, using my Face ID - places like my credit card companies. They will not allow me to login with my user ID & password.

How can I deactivate Face ID & go back to using my fingerprint for security to access my new iPhone?
