This email address is not available. Choose a different address. ( after account deletion )

I created an account for my kid, then I realized I wrote the wrong birthday date after creation, so I decided I needed to delete the account using apple steps to delete an account, because there was no way to change the birthday date after creation .... after waiting for a few weeks I got an email from apple saying the account was deleted successfully.



Now I try to create the account back again using the same mail address and I get this error message :


"This email address is not available. Choose a different address. "



I need to be able to use the same address than before, the account was deleted, why I can not use the same mail address if there is no account under that email ???


please advice.

If you have deleted it, it is no longer valid, it simply no longer exists and it no longer works.

  • Once your account has been deleted, Apple can't reopen or reactivate your account or restore your data.


Can I use the primary email address for my deleted Apple ID account to create a new Apple ID or with another existing Apple ID account?

No – after your Apple ID has been deleted, you can't use the email address that you used with it to create a new Apple ID. In addition, you can't use that email address with another existing Apple ID except as a rescue email address. Also, if your primary Apple ID email address is with a Custom Email Domain, it can never be reused to create an Apple ID after your Apple ID has been deleted, even if the domain ownership changes.
