Text responses go to wrong country code

My automatic return messages keep adding +44 country code on phone number. I tried changing region, disabling international assistance. I noticed this since my last update. This is happening on my iPhone 13 Pro running 17.0.3

It sounds like an unusual issue. Have you attempted restarting your phone or double-checking the settings for your phone number? Sometimes, a simple restart can help with settings-related glitches
