External display issues

Hi guys

I have M1 Ipad pro, every time I plug it to external display, the image is blurry, and letters are really smudgy. I guess the issue comes from resolution. My external monitor has 1920x1080 but when i plug in my ipad it sends 4k signal to my display. Is there any way to change the resolution, that is displayed on external monitor, or find another setting that would fix that or is it just IpadOS thing that cannot be adjusted?

I don’t know if that matters but i connect usb-c hub to ipad and hdmi cable between hub and monitor.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Some monitors have issues in that they may fail to correctly communicate EDID metadata (that describes their capabilities and screen resolution) to the video source over HDMI or DisplayPort digital video connections.

As a consequence, if EDID data is not correctly transmitted/interpreted, the video source (in this case your iPad) and external monitor may be operating in different modes - leading to unexpected results. In such situations, unless the monitor's settings can be manually adjusted to match the video source, the only remedy is to use a different monitor that does not exhibit this defect.

You should note that while an FHD (i.e. 1920x1080) display is fully usable with your iPad Pro, it is less than ideal. A higher resolution monitor (e.g., UHD/4K) might be a better choice.
