My friend spilled soda on my laptop, laptop still works but the screen went black.

I did what most tech companies recommend to do after a liquid spill. I shut down my MacBook and disconnected everything then I layed it upside down on a towel for it to dry off.

I’m gonna wait until tomorrow to see if anything changes, but what should I do if it doesn’t? Do I wait for it to dry more? Do I take it to repair? How much would it cost for a repair?

And you aren't speaking to Apple here. Visit any authorized service provider, and verify the status of your warranty with them. If you purchased accident insurance ahead of the event it won't cost as much as if you don't.

Your homeowner insurance may have a rider/so might your renter's insurane, and your friend's insurance. It could raise your rates or their's if it is reported. An authorized service provider can give you an estimate of time and expense. http://www.apple.com/buy/

Add an external display. Unfortunately soda and electronics do not mix. Soda includes sugar and other electrolytes that can easily short out any electric circuits. Just because it dries doesn't mean the stickiness of the soda, or the sugar from it does not adhere to anything it touches. It most likely will. Never leave food nor drink near computers. My college computer lab revoked computer privileges in the 1990s for anyone who brought food or drink in for a whole month. Repair is very expensive.
