Why is Gboard switching to iOS keyboard for password input

I have set password on my iPhone to used Chrome or Google for my password manager but the keyboard switches to apple keyboard and i am unable to access my passwords.

My understanding is that for security reasons Apple doesn't allow 3rd party keyboards (which often collect whatever you type) to be used for password fields.


Could you explain why you cannot type the same password with Apple's keyboard that you type with GBoard?

I cannot type it with apple keyboard because doesn't save to my Google password manager after i entered the new password. From what I see it tries to push to Apple's password management system even when it is disabled.


It's my choose how i want to save my password what keyboard i want to use. Per your statement about a security issue, i beg to differ.


This type of behavior is very unethical. From what I see Apple is pushing their own services and not playing far.


I use multiple platforms and it hinders me when one platform is blocking from accessing my information.
