Problems with my display

I have brought a new MacBook air m2 in last Friday (November 17 ) . Suddenly my display went black . I went to the shop and claimed warranty , the told me to play around 170 dollers .

What can i do ?

Call AppleCare and complain the shop is not following through on the its own return or warranty policies. Most shops give you 7-10 days for replacement.


If the shop is not an Apple Authorized Service Center, they may be selling refurbished stock they can't warrant.

Check their Apple certification on Find Locations


Also if there was no visible sign of damage to the computer, ask them why they won't honor the purchase date of the computer, which your receipt shows?



Lastly before sending it in for repair, look at these reasons Apple says the screen might go blank:
